Preserving VESTBY is a long-term project. Work is divided into steps that can be checked and documented.

01 · Secure
Water ingress, weather protection and basic habitability are immediate concerns. The precise order of work depends on inspection and findings.

02 · Assess and repair
Hull, structure and deck require professional assessment. Major repairs will need skilled people, a suitable work site and funding.

03 · Develop future use
Rig, equipment and possible uses can be assessed once the vessel is secure. A future sailing or cargo operation cannot yet be promised. Visit the logbook →
